Honestly, I'd go with Node-RED over Vera for your case. Note that the tradeoff.
HomeLabber: Completely agree — I had the same issue and got it working by recreating the automation. Took me longer than expected that parameter.

Honestly, I'd choose Node-RED over Hubitat for reliability. Just remember the learning curve.
